イミテーション檸檬

 2023年秋田公立美術大学大学院複合芸術研究科修了。日本各地のAIRに参加しながら、訪れた土地の民話や風土そして「音」を収集し、【音響】を主な表現方法として活動している。殊に、建築など都市の視覚的環境の特性に関心を持ち、可視・不可視の「かたち」の堆積としての都市を積分的に分析していくリサーチを通して、自ら録音・編集した音を構成していく。ノイズを「不要で排除されるもの」のメタファーとして捉え、慣行や社会構造からみえる排除の構造に着目し、空間彫刻的なサウンドインスタレーションを展開している。主な活動に「黄金町バザール＋上大岡バザール2025『通過中｜We Meet Along the Way』」（黄金スタジオ、2025），「アライブ！」(BankART Station,2025)，個展「旅のhaziはかきくけこ」(project space hazi,2024)，個展「スプラッシュ！水戸AIR成果展 杳」(club space BUBBLE, 2023)や「ちくごAIR 2022成果展」(九州芸文館/3331 Arts Chiyoda, 2023)への参加など。

Artist statement

I participate in artist-in-residence programs across Japan, collecting local folklore, climate, and sound, and primarily work through acoustic and sound-based expression. My research focuses on forming new soundscapes by examining regional phenomena, landscapes, and oral histories as carriers of urban and environmental memory, informed by sociological and cultural anthropological perspectives.

This approach responds critically to recent soundscape discourse that reduces landscape to surface-level aesthetic or design concerns. My practice seeks to expand sound art beyond these limits through research-based production grounded in theoretical analysis.

My works are characterized by three principles: (1) the collection and reconstruction of site-specific sounds and materials—such as folklore, local phenomena, and symbolic matter—based on multi-perspective research across different times and locations; (2) the contrapuntal structuring of discontinuous visual and auditory information, enabling viewers to generate their own internal landscapes; and (3) spatial, sculptural sound installations in which sound, image, space, and audience perception interact. These features distinguish my work from conventional sound art practices.

Because not all research can be fully embodied in the final work, I also produce written outputs alongside exhibitions. I have published a peer-reviewed academic paper based on my research and practice, and I regularly develop essays or ZINE publications as part of each residency project.
